The 9aspen Story
As a videographer, songwriter, and author, I turn life on the Florida Gulf Coast into 4K video, original soundtracks, and coastal stories.
From solo offshore runs 60 miles out to the quiet sandbars along Southwest Florida, every video, song, and chapter is an authentic reflection of a saltwater lifestyle. This is the official home of the videos, the music, the book, the apparel, and the stories behind the lens.
Cat Tales
Cat Tales is a 2022 World Cat 280DC-X. A 28-foot power catamaran with a 9'2" beam that gets me from the shallow Florida backwaters to solo runs 60 miles offshore. The catamaran hull keeps the ride stable and comfortable in chop, and the 220-gallon fuel capacity means I don't think twice about how far out I can go.
Twin Yamaha F200 engines run on digital throttle and steering, paired with the Helm Master EX Control System — joystick control that makes docking and maneuvering manageable solo, with a CL7 display to keep it all in view. For navigation, I run a Garmin 8612xsv display alongside Fantom 24x radar.
Running solo that far out, safety gear isn't optional — EPIRB, PLBs, satellite texting, and Garmin's OnBoard Man Overboard system are all onboard.
